While the primary job in a domestic and international BPO may be the same, the factor that differentiates the two,  the customer. As a customer service representative  (CSR) Who work in a domestic BPO, your primary responsibility is to understand your customer, his/her behaviour, needs and cultural sensibilities. So how different is it to service an Indian customer as against a foreign customer? Let us look at this  in this  module.

 BPO, as the name suggests service domestic  clients who are the  local  customer of the same country. For example, a domestic BPO in India would service Indian customers.

* servicing domestic customers

* servicing local companies and brands 

* providing after sales service, customer care support and other data entry operations for local companies 

* servicing customers of a foreign company that has established operations In India but serves local customers, for example, Samsung which is a foreign company manufacturing electronic goods now has a lot of India clients servicing the needs of these Indian clients 24x7  from India makes Samsung  a domestic BPO.
